Chip was very helpful in determining the overall condition of our log cabin. He made many suggestions for care and restoration that we will be implementing going forward. His expertise was greatly appreciated and to top it off he was super nice.
2–3 in thick. Natural edge slab with the bark left on one edge and a square edge on the other, milled in Utah from local timber.
We’ll call you before anything is cut. Every slab is one of a kind, so we confirm the dimensions, character and finish with you before milling.
The bark edge gives you the full live-edge line; the square edge sits flat against a wall or flush to a cabinet. This is the usual choice for fireplace mantels, floating shelves and any piece where only one side is on show.
Sizes. 2–3 in thick. Widths from 6–8 in up to 23–24 in. Lengths from 8 ft to 24 ft. Sold as a complete board — the price you see is for the whole slab, not per foot.
What to expect. Every slab is one of a kind. Width ranges are nominal and the edge will vary naturally along the length, which is the point of a natural edge. Bark is left as it came off the tree.
Thicknesses beyond 2–3 in are special order — contact the office and we will quote it.
