Wood Cookies

Cross-cut rounds of dry spruce — also called wood cookies, discs, rounds, or slices. Every piece shows its own growth rings, knots, bark edge, and natural checking, so no two are alike.

Cut here in Utah from the same dry spruce we mill into logs and lumber. Available from 6 in to 16 in in diameter and 1 in to 6 in thick, with bulk and custom sizes made to order.

What People Use Them For

  • Weddings — cake stands, centerpieces, table numbers, place settings, guest-book rounds, and aisle markers.
  • Memorials & Celebrations of Life — photo and urn displays, memory rounds for guests to sign, and keepsake engravings.
  • Interior Décor — wall art, coasters, trivets, clocks, candle bases, plant stands, and wood-burning or craft projects.
  • Jack Stand Rounds & Shims — thicker rounds spread the load under jacks and jack stands on soft or uneven ground, and level trailers, campers, and equipment.

Checks & Cracks Are Normal

Because these are cut from dry spruce, most cookies carry checks — the fine radial cracks wood forms as it dries. They're part of the character of a natural round, not a defect, and dry stock is lighter and more stable than green-cut rounds.
