What is an L-cut timber?
An L-cut is a timber milled so its cross-section forms an "L": two faces meeting at a corner, with the inside removed. It wraps an outside corner in a single piece of wood, so you get a crisp, solid-timber corner instead of two boards with a seam or a mitered joint that can open over time.

Why not just miter two boards?
