Because every cookie is cut from a natural log, diameters are nominal and rounds may be slightly oval.
About the Wood: Checks & Cracks
Our cookies are cut from dry spruce, so they're lighter and more stable than green-cut rounds. Checks (small radial cracks) are a natural part of how wood dries and are common in cookies — many customers love the rustic character they add. No two rounds are alike in grain, knots, bark, or checking.
Finishing tips: sand the faces smooth, then seal with a clear finish to highlight the grain and help keep the bark edge intact. For food contact such as cake stands, place a food-safe liner or board between the food and the wood.

Jack Stand & Shim Use
Wood rounds are not load-rated. When using them under jacks or jack stands, always follow your equipment manufacturer's guidelines, use a round wider than the base, and never work under a load supported only by a jack.
